This Privacy Policy details our current privacy practices with regard to the information we collect when you or your computer interact with our website. By accessing our site, you acknowledge and fully understand our Privacy Policy and freely consent to the information collection and use practices described herein.

General
This Site is owned by Koodos LLC, and being run in conjunction with HERALDSUN. User information is gathered to provide you with an easy and customized experience while on our site. There is no need to register on our site to participate in the majority of games and contests. Alternate forms of entry are detailed in our Contest Rules area. If you register with our site, we may email you with notification of winnings, services, newsletters or third party services and products we feel may be of interest to you.

YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL NEVER BE SOLD OR LEASED TO A THIRD PARTY WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.

Information We Collect and How We Use It
We collect certain information from and about our users three ways: directly from our Web Server Logs, Cookies, and Personal User.

a. Web Server Logs
When you visit our Website, we may track information to administer the site and analyze its usage. Examples of information we may track include:

Use of Web Beacons or GIF files
Our Web pages may contain electronic images known as web beacons – sometimes also called single-pixel gifs – that allow us to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. We may include Web beacons in promotional e-mail messages or newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon.

Some of these Web beacons may be placed by third party service providers to help determine the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns or email communications.  These Web beacons may be used by these service providers to place a persistent cookie on your computer.  This allows the service provider to recognize your computer each time you visit certain pages or emails and compile anonymous information in relation to those page views, which in turn enables us and our service providers to learn which advertisements and emails bring you to our website and how you use the site. No matter how hard we try, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. It is important to take personal measures in safeguarding your password and computer.

Children Under Thirteen
Children under the age of 13 should not participate in any of the activities on our site. We acknowledge the importance and comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We will never knowingly nor intentionally collect information from a child under 13 years of age.

Opt-out
At any time you decide that you no longer want us to send you information about us or our affiliate’s products and services, you can change the preference you selected at the time of registration.

Under California law, Residents of California who have registered with Koodos or one of its subsidiaries may choose to opt out of Koodos disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. Our policy is to never disclose personal information collected online to a third party for direct marketing purposes without your approval.
